Celine Dion is going on a world tour -- and she has an upcoming album, Courage, to boot.

The diva announced the exciting news Wednesday at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, where she performed a surprise mini-concert for those in attendance, including "My Heart Will Go On," "Ashes" from Deadpool 2, and "I'm Alive," which can be viewed below.

Press and select guests had been invited to a "special event with Celine Dion" without any additional information. Dion and her Courage World Tour were introduced by a short produced video -- streamed on Facebook Live -- showing the singer leaving her popular and 16-year-long Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace via a truck.

When the truck broke down in the skit, a car full of drag queens picked up Dion, who playfully endured a sing-along of her greatest hits all the way to L.A.

Several minutes later, when the singer took the stage, the room rose and gave Dion a standing ovation -- the longest she had received in her career, the singer claimed.

"That was a long, long sing-along drive from Las Vegas, but we finally made it"! joked Dion, who thanked the drag performers "Tina, Diana, Barbra, and of course, our driver, Celine."

"I think it's time for a change. Time to hit the road," Dion told the crowd. "I am extremely excited to do the world tour ... and I'm also releasing a new album."

Produced by Concerts West/AEG Presents, the tour will begin in Quebec City September 18 and will stop in over 50 cities, including Chicago, Boston, Miami, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The tickets go on sale April 12 at CelineDion.com -- and every order will come with a copy of her new CD, which will be released this fall.

In a Q&A following her L.A. performance, Dion revealed a few more details about the tour and album. Sia is a collaborator on the album, which will have 12 tracks. Dion said she had 48 songs that could have been ready -- so she had to whittle it down to the very best. "I never want to disappoint you," she told fans in the audience.

The title of the tour is also named after one of the album's tracks, "Courage," which was inspired in part by the death of her late husband, Rene Angelil. "I've been through a lot," Dion said, adding that by going on tour, she wanted to show Angelil that "I'm fine."

When asked by a young boy in the audience what advice she would give to herself at age 13, the French-Canadian singer replied, "Don't hold on to your dreams. Hold on to yourself." Dion, whose birthday was Saturday, also received a chorus of "Happy Birthday" from the crowd at the Ace Hotel.
