This photo project from Los Angeles lenser (and Advocate staffer) Lenny Gerard seeks to capture the identities of genderqueer people, reflecting those determined to relentlessly be themselves in a landscape of hatred and injustice, and bring a positive light to the transgender and gender-fluid community. As there are many shades of male and female, there are endless shades of those who are in between or who abstain from the binary altogether.
