35 Campy Met Gala Looks That Serve Queer, Gender-Bending Brilliance
This year's theme at the Met Gala was "Camp: Notes on Fashion," which left many designers with the task of interpreting the definition of "camp." The theme is referential of a famous Susan Sontag essay, in which the late queer writer interpreted the term as "anti-serious" and "the spirit of extravagance." Notable examples on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibit included Bjork's swan dress and the oeuvre of John Waters.
