The third annual celebration of those big, furry, and loveable bears from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc., in collaboration with The Bears of San Francisco (BOSF), returns this Saturday, October 14, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 11th and Harrison Streets in San Francisco’s famed Leather and LGBTQ Cultural District.
The Bearrison Street Fair is “A Fair For Every Bear” and seeks to be an inclusive and affirming event for adult members of the LGBTQ+ community by promoting body positivity and cultural diversity for all, fostering a supportive and welcoming bear scene.
This year’s theme is “Under the Big Top” with a return of wrestling and deadlifts, fantastic performers, and some distinctly NSFW “Bearrison'' midway games.
The Main Stage will host a number of interactive contests including the Furrocious Majesty Drag Contest; Furry Face-Off: Beard, Mustache, and Whiskerina Contest; Pup Contest with plenty of barking and tricks; and a Twerking Contest where fair-goers can get down and dirty in the streets.
The Main State will also play host to Baloney, San Francisco’s first and only gay all-male revue, and the classically trained violinist Kippy Marks.
