Fabulous! Festive! FUNdraising! Speedos...in December?! Embrace the cold! On Saturday, December 8, the 8th annual Santa Speedo Run Boystown presented by Miller Lite raised money to support Center on Halsted. Over 250 participants donned their gay apparel for a one-mile run through the heart of Lakeview, clad in nothing more than Santa hats, speedos and other holiday attire! Last year's event raised over $70K for Center on Halsted and the vital services the Center provides. The event drew a crowd of thousands, as well as drawing national and international media coverage.
The event was held at Sidetrack Video Bar, 3349 N Halsted. The run was followed by merriment, entertainment, and prizes hosted by Debbie Fox. Everyone celebrated by huddling together to keep warm and lining up to get under the mistletoe.

The eighth-annual Santa Speedo Run Boystown is organized by partners Karl Sponholtz and Jeff Colgan -- who are dedicated to helping the LGBTQ community with the support of their friends, families, and volunteers.
