SNL Guys Rap About Their Love of Grace and Frankie Over Game of Thrones

SNL Guys Rap About Their Love of Grace and Frankie Over Game of Thrones

Paul Rudd and Pete Davidson

Pete Davidson, host Paul Rudd, and musical guest DJ Khaled rapped about the Jane Fonda-Lily Tomlin vehicle.

While the internet was blowing up with theories about the Game of Thrones finale, Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson was forced to admit he knows nothing about GoT and instead rapped about his favorite series, Grace and Frankie.

The rap begins with Davidson pretending to know something about GoT and rapping about it until Kenan Thompson steps in to call him out. Once he's revealed to be no fan of GoT, Davidson begins to rap about the Netflix show that's about two women in their 70s, played by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, whose husbands, played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, leave them for each other. It's a decidedly less overtly masculine series than GoT, and having straight, cis guys rap about it appears to be the point of the sketch.

"My favorite TV show is motherfucking Grace and Frankie! Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, that's right, son," Davidson raps. "It's a Netflix Original, one of the first to be on for five seasons -- two sweet old ladies is the reason. You'll thank me. I watch that show every day on the reggy -- you laugh, you cry, you better grab a hanky. That's right, I'm talking about..."

Musical guest DJ Khaled then joins Davidson in a rap about the Fonda-Tomlin starrer, even going so far as to say that it's "better than Game of Thrones."

Finally, host Rudd turns up to rap about GoT until he's informed he's essentially in a safe space where he can rap about his favorite show, which of course is Grace and Frankie.
