Former Dance Moms star, and the face of a namesake billion-dollar brand, JoJo Siwa has secured her place in the finals for Dancing With the Stars season 30.

Siwa made history when it was announced that for the competition she would be paired with another woman. This made her part of the first same-sex competitive couple for the American Dancing With the Stars series. The setup came at Siwa's own urging.

It was heavily anticipated that the star would do well given her history in dance, but it wasn't guaranteed as the ballroom dancing genre can prove tricky.

Week after week Siwa and her partner Jenna Johnson have consistently taken home some of the highest scores. In week five they nabbed the season's first perfect score, and have gone on to nab another one. In the semifinals on Monday, they received tens across the board for both numbers.

First, they did the Argentine Tango. Judges remarked that it was "bloody brilliant" and featured a passion that was lacking in their first iteration of the style. The judges awarded them the first perfect score of the night.

For their second dance the two performed a contemporary number to Lewis Capaldi's "Before You Go." It was dedicated to Siwa's recently deceased grandfather. The pair also received a perfect score for this.

The only couple of the night that received a perfect score from the judges was Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten. Siwa, Cody Rigsby, and Iman Shumpert are the celebrities that are safe and going to the finals.
