Academy Award–winning actor and recording artist Jamie Foxx has confirmed that a full-frontal nude photo that recently circulated on the Internet is indeed a picture of him.

During his October 12 appearance on The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien to promote Law Abiding Citizen, his film with costar Gerard Butler, Foxx explained that the photo was taken for his makeup artist during the filming of his 2006 film Miami Vice for a before-and-after comparison for a nude scene.

As Foxx confessed it was really him in the photo, O’Brien offered congratulations and a handshake, while both the actor and the studio audience laughed.

Foxx, who has starred in films as eclectic as Booty Call, Jarhead, and Ray, went on to tell the talk show host that the photo has increased his gay fan base and that while performing a concert in Atlanta during gay pride weekend, he noticed “alternative lifestyle” fans in the front of the audience.

“I have a huge gay following and they all came out in Atlanta,” he told O’Brien, before giving a shout out to the gay fans.
