In the Galleries: Terry Furry's Vulnerable Gods

Furryx400x300

Mythology meets the digital age in Furry's work.

xtyfr

Terry Furry's large-scale portraits present a complicated view of masculinity. Each painting in the show is inspired by a different Greco-Roman mythological hero. Furry uses a painstakingly detailed oil painting technique that renders his figures flat yet photorealistic, mimicking the pixelated look of digital images.
