Is this the end for Xena?

In a move certain to bring sadness to many in the lesbian community, the Sunday Star Times of Auckland, New Zealand, reports that not only is Xena: Warrior Princess being canceled but its eponymous lead will meet an untimely end in the final episode. As played by the robust Lucy Lawless, Xena has acquired an almost cult-like following over the years. As to the fate of Xenas tender sidekick, Gabrielle, no one is saying.
