E! Online columnist Ted Casablanca reports that openly gay singer Elton John will contribute a song, free of charge, to the soundtrack of the upcoming NBC movie The Matthew Shepard Story. Insiders say that the song John will provide for the film, which stars Stockard Channing and Sam Waterston as Judy and Dennis Shepard, is "very Princess Diana" (meaning, one would assume, along the lines of "Goodbye, England's Rose"). The film is tentatively scheduled to air later this year or in early 2002.
