The Advocate's Orlando Cover: 'Remember'

The Advocate will be honored as part of Logo's Trailblazer Honors tonight.

The new cover of The Advocate is revealed during tonight's Trailblazer Honors special on Logo, which is honoring our magazine among other LGBT pioneers.

The Advocate has been there for five decades covering struggles of LGBT readers. And this month's mass shooting meant scrapping previous plans for the next issue to focus on the tragedy in Orlando and the 49 people killed by Omar Mateen.

As The Advocate readies for our 50th anniversary, editor in chief Matthew Breen accepted the award Thursday at the event, which is broadcast tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific. He gave a speech about Orlando and gun control that had the crowd on its feet.
