Elton and Judy Voted Top Gay Icons

Elton John and Judy Garland were voted the greatest gay icons of all time in a poll released Thursday.

Market research company One Poll conducted a survey of 5,000 gay men and lesbians, according to London's Daily Mirror.

According to those surveyed, the top 10 male gay icons are Elton John, Freddie Mercury, Stephen Fry, George Michael, Oscar Wilde, Will Young, Alan Carr, Paul O'Grady, Boy George, and David Beckham.

Judy Garland topped the list of female gay icons, followed by Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Cher, Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Bassey, Lily Savage, Dusty Springfield, and Barbra Streisand.
