Is rugby the secret to a happy life? Read more below.

Rugby

Have you ever seen a picture of a sullen rugby player? Probably losing a game is no fun, sure. But somehow rugby players are never photographed in a bad mood. The photos here by Matt Baume are the perfect example of the boisterously happy rugby player. Beer pong, flip-cup, measuring each other’s inseams — it’s all a trigger for fun and hilarity.  Then there are their legs. The reason you see so many rugby players showing up to events in shorts when you and I would wear a nice pair of slacks? Their massive tree -trunk thighs (and calves, don’t forget about the calves) don’t fit into average-size pants. Maybe happiness lives in the legs.

The happy occasion pictured here is the BroQueen BBQ Fundraiser held recently at the Cuff Complex in Seattle. The men of Quake Rugby (follow on Facebook here) are the ideal examples of the joy of the sport. Maybe rugby is the secret to a happy life.
