Legendary musician Dolly Parton has inked a deal with Netflix for a new series with episodes based on some of her classic songs. Parton, who will executive produce the show, said in a statement this week, "As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music. I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix. We hope our show will inspire and entertain families and folks of all generations." Parton is expected to make select appearances in the Netflix anthology, which will debut in 2019.
