Ellen DeGeneres Sent a Drag Queen Adele to Cheer Up Tig Notaro

Tig Notaro and Ellen DeGeneres

Notaro said that DeGeneres has set the bar for friendship.

Stand-up comic Tig Notaro said that Ellen DeGeneres has ruined all other friends for her, considering the talk show host has come up with increasingly creative ways of cheering Notaro up when she's not feeling well.

In an interview on the show, the women chatted about their friendship, specifically how DeGeneres has sent a mariachi band to Notaro's house when she was feeling unwell. But, most notably, DeGeneres also sent a drag queen Adele to Notaro's home.

Notaro said that for several minutes when drag queen Adele arrived at her house and sang "Hello" to her on a loop, she was convinced it was the actual Adele.

The Adele reference wasn't completely out of the blue, though. DeGeneres explained that at her birthday extravaganza, where the likes of P!nk and Pharrell performed, Notaro -- who is not a musician -- took to the piano, where she banged on the keys and confidently sang "Hello."

DeGeneres set the bar for friendship, Notaro said. "If I'm not feeling well, I'm like, 'Where is my mariachi band?'"
