Jillian Michaels Announces Engagement to DeShanna Marie Minuto

Jillian Michaels has shared that she had one extra-special reason to be thankful over the holiday weekend: She and her long-term partner, DeShanna Marie Minuto, are officially engaged. The fitness guru and fashion designer (Minuto owns the luxury fashion label Letterino), respectively, have been dating since 2018.

The couple shared their news on Michaels's -- who popped the question -- Instagram with an intimate photo of the two of them cuddled up. "1153 days... there are thousands more. She said 'yes,'" read the caption. Minuto is showing off her new ring in the photo, a "7-carat emerald cut diamond, with two single carat, trapezoid diamonds on each side, and was crafted by a family friend and specialty jeweler at H&H Jewelers in Miami," according to People.

"DeShanna is 'all the things' -- beautiful, smart, funny, creative, quirky, passionate ... I could run down the list of adjectives. Those characteristics obviously attract you to someone. But it's the quality of their character that makes you think 'Thank God for this person laying next to me' every night when you fall asleep," Michaels told People. "It's easy to stay together when everything is going great, but when real life sets in and things get messy, challenging, scary, and even downright ugly -- that's when the truth reveals itself. And this woman has revealed herself to be strong beyond measure, wise beyond her years, and loving beyond my wildest dreams. I am so grateful to officially call her mine."

Sounds like the Biggest Loser star (and creator of The Fitness App by Jillian Michaels) is the biggest winner when it comes to love.
