 Variety reports that out writer-producer Barry Sandler (Making Love, Crimes of Passion) will be honored for his contributions to the film industry at the 15th annual Crystal Reel Awards in Tampa, Fla. In addition to his many credits as a screenwriter, Sandler has taught film and screenwriting at the University of Central Florida; the University of California, Los Angeles; the University of Southern California; and the American Film Institute.
