Rodney Evans's Sundance Film Festival standout, Brother to Brother, has been acquired in North America by indie distribution banner Wolfe (Adored: Diary of a Male Porn Star). The film follows a struggling gay black writer who finds inspiration when he meets a Harlem Renaissance poet. Produced by Rodney Evans, Aimee Schoof, and Isen Robbins, Brother stars Anthony Mackie, Roger Robinson, Duane Boutte, Larry Gilliard Jr., and Aunjanue Ellis. Wolfe's Maria Lynn and Orly Ravid brokered the deal with sales rep Steven Raphael and the law firm of Schreck, Rose, and Dapello. An October opening is tentatively scheduled.
