Gay premium channel Here TV announced Wednesday that it has acquired broadcast rights to gay and lesbian titles from the MGM film library, including Longtime Companion, Go Fish, Jeffrey, My Beautiful Laundrette, The Sum of Us, Bent, The Hanging Garden, and It's My Party. The network's executive vice president of distribution and acquisitions, Mark Reinhart, also announced licensing deals with Alliance Atlantis, Think Films, Wellspring, Picture This Entertainment, First Run Features, Castle Hill, Lot 47, and DEJ Productions, bringing an additional 300 titles to Here TV's library. Here had previously announced acquisition deals with TLA Releasing, Wolfe Video (a second deal with Wolfe was also confirmed Wednesday), Strand Releasing, and Regent Worldwide Sales. The pay-per-view channel is scheduled to become a 24/7 premium cable channel in October.
