Michael Cunningham and Scott Rudin reteam for Specimen Days

Michael Cunningham, author of The Hours, will reteam with Scott Rudin, the out producer of that novel's film version, on Specimen Days, the screen version of Cunningham's soon-to-be-published new novel, reports Variety. Like The Hours, Specimen Days tells three stories that are all connected by a writer--in this case, gay poet Walt Whitman. The novellas are respectively set in the past, present, and future. The book is set to be published in May.
