TLA Releasing
announced that it has set a deal to release gay-themed and
foreign-language DVDs in the United Kingdom, reports
Indiewire.com. Through its association with Tartan
Films--which theatrically released Gregg Araki's
Mysterious Skin in the United
States--TLA will serve the U.K. market beginning
September 26 when it will release C. Jay Cox's
Latter Days, David Moreton's Edge of
Seventeen, and Bill Marchant's Everyone.
Upcoming DVD titles for U.K. release by the company
include Yossi and Jagger, Cowboys and Angels, Bear
Cub, The Trip, P.S. Your Cat Is Dead, and
Slutty Summer.
TLA will also
handle domestic DVD releases for films from Here, Regent
Films' gay arthouse label, and the Here Network cable
channel. Upcoming titles under the new agreement
include the documentary Naked Fame as well as
Beautiful Boxer;Sex, Politics and Cocktails; and Straight-Jacket.
