Though Brokeback Mountaindirector Ang Lee hails from Taiwan, his award-winning film is unlikely to screen in mainland China, where homosexuality is largely frowned upon, reports Variety.A source from China Film Group, the mainland's sole film importer, told the Xinhua news agency that domestic audiences were unlikely to embrace a movie about gay cowboys.
