Timothy Olyphant and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have been cast in Kimberly Peirce's new film Stop Loss for Paramount Pictures.
The Hollywood Reporter , which announced the casting, describes the film as a true story of a soldier who returns home to Texas and then is called to duty again in Iraq through the military's "stop loss" procedure. Gordon-Levitt plays the soldier, and Olyphant plays his no-nonsense commanding officer.
Peirce wrote the film and also serves as producer with Scott Rudin. (The Advocate)
