National Theatre director returns to opera
house after 20 years

Nicolas Hytner, artistic director of the National Theatre in London, will return to the Royal Opera House for the first time in 20 years. According to the BBC, he will return to direct a new production of Verdi's grand opera, Don Carlo, which is slated to begin in June 2008.

Hynter's last production at the opera house was The Knot Garden in 1988. (The Advocate)
