Jim Carrey will play a Texas convict named Steven Russell who falls in love with his cell mate in the dark comedy I Love You Phillip Morris. The project is based on a factual novel by Steve McVicker about a married man with children serving a long-term sentence for a string of felonies. When his cell mate Phillip Morris is released, Russell attempts to escape prison four times within five years to be with Morris. (The Advocate)
