            Schumacher has pitched a bid to develop Breaking
            News, a remake of a Hong Kong action       movie that
            premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004, reports
            Reuters.     
       The story follows
            the aftermath of a live TV news broadcast that reveals
            an embarrassing defeat of a police battalion by five bank
            robbers in a       heart-pounding shoot-out. While on a
            separate investigation a detective       discovers the
            hideout of the robbers. But the plot takes a turn when the
            inspector decides to turn his discovery into a breaking-news
            show.

            directed and produced by filmmaker Johnnie To. (The

        Global pop star Demi Lovato will perform at the 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards on March 5 in Los Angeles, with actor and producer Jonathan Bennett returning to host a ceremony that will stream exclusively on Hulu later this month, GLAAD announced Monday.
