Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a cohost of ABC's The View, will go on maternity leave next month, a show spokesman said Saturday. Hasselbeck, 30, will leave the popular New York-based daytime talk show beginning November 8 or November 9, spokesman Karl Nilsson confirmed. Various celebrity guests will fill in for her while she is on leave, he said.
Hasselbeck, who was a contestant on the reality show Survivor: The Australian Outback, is pregnant with her second child. She's married to NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck. He played at Boston College, where the two met. They have a 2-year-old daughter named Grace.
Hasselbeck is well-known for her ongoing feud with former cohost Rosie O'Donnell. O'Donnell left the show in June and was recently replaced by comedian Whoopi Goldberg. (AP, with additional reporting by The Advocate)
