Dirty Laundry was nominated for an Image Award for Best Independent Film by the NAACP. The other two films in this category are A Mighty Heart, starring Angelina Jolie, and Vanessa Williams's My Brother.

Dirty Laundry movie follows Patrick, a magazine writer, who lives a "perfect life" in New York City until a 10-year-old secret comes back to haunt him. The film stars Rockmond Dunbar as Patrick, Loretta Devine, Jenifer Lewis, Maurice Jamal, Sommore, and Terri J. Vaughn.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to air on Fox on February 14. (The Advocate)
