George Michael to Play Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras

Pop star George Michael has been confirmed to play at the party for Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras this Saturday, an insider says.

According to the Wentworth Courier, "At this stage it is unclear what songs he will be performing at the event, but the source said it would be the opening show of the night."

George Michael performed last Sunday in his first Australian appearance since the late 1980s. Several floats with a George Michael theme appeared in last Saturday's Mardi Gras parade.
