E! Online's Marc Malkin is confirming Oscar-winning filmmaker Bill Condon has signed on to direct the next installment in The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn.
Deadline's Nikki Finke reported last month that Summit Entertainment was in negotiations with the the gay director, who won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Gods and Monsters and directed Dreamgirls.
Condon was reportedly up against Gus Van Zant and Sofia Coppola for the gig.
