Many of us who don't have HIV often don't know much about the daily lives of people living with the virus. And yet those of us living with HIV may also be curious as to how the virus affects other people across the country. Positively Aware magazine's project A Day With HIV in America aims to bridge that gap, to help us all understand the daily lives of the 1.1 million people in the United States with the virus.

The results of a call for photos taken during any point of the day on September 21 were published in the magazine and its website, and will also be on display at the U.S. Conference on AIDS this week in Chicago.

Here is a glimpse of Positively Aware's project.
