Organizers of Charlotte, N.C.'s ninth annual AIDS walk say the event, held May 7, raised more than $106,000, the Charlotte Observer reports. The two-mile walk is the largest HIV fund-raiser in the Carolinas and attracted thousands of walkers. All money raised by the event will benefit Charlotte's Regional AIDS Interfaith Network.
