The Washington, D.C.-based American Academy of HIV Medicine and the Chicago-based Test Positive Aware Network have announced a partnership to enhance communication between HIV-treating physicians and HIV communities throughout the United States. The arrangement includes providing AAHIVM members with TPAN's publication Positively Aware to distribute to their patients through their clinics and private practices.
"Part of providing high quality care involves offering patients up-to-date information on a variety of HIV-related topics," says Brian Hujdich, AAHIVM's director of professional development and credentialing, in a press statement. "Positively Aware is a lively mix of information and inspiration, and we are pleased that our collaboration with TPAN enables us to offer our members and their patients such an outstanding resource."
AAHIVM is an independent organization of HIV specialists and others dedicated to promoting excellence in HIV care by supporting health care providers in HIV medicine and to ensuring better care for those living with AIDS and HIV disease. (The Advocate)
