With new legislation taking effect that shifts California's HIV case reporting from a codes-based system to a names-based method, officials at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center are anticipating that many state residents will have questions about HIV antibody testing, particularly privacy concerns and whether anonymous testing is still possible. The center has posted answers to some of the most commonly asked questions on its Web site at www.LAGayCenter.org/hivtesting.
