The Food and Drug Administration has approved Chembio Diagnostics' Sure Check HIV 1/2 and HIV 1/2 Stat-Pak for U.S. marketing. The products detect antibodies to both HIV-1 and HIV-2, providing results in about 15 minutes. The tests will be available to clinical laboratories and hospitals nationwide, Chembio officials say in a press statement. (The Advocate)
