Chip Arndt, half of the gay couple that won Amazing Race 4, has made an ambitious vow to raise $100,000 to fight AIDS.
"Chip's Personal Response to AIDS Across America" will encompass two AIDS rides and two AIDS walks in an effort to benefit HIV service providers in Florida, Washington, D.C., and New York City. Arndt hopes to encourage potential participants to get involved through his MySpace page.
"My efforts are nothing compared to the challenges people living with HIV/AIDS face every day," said Arndt in a press release. "I've raised money before using traditional methods, but using social networking sites is a fun and practical way to quickly spread the word and invite participation. All those who might not be able to get on a bike or personally participate in an AIDS walk can contribute to this cause."
More information on Arndt's fund-raisers can be found at www.myspace.com/chiparndt. (The Advocate)
