The "Thrown Out Flag" is an initiative to bring awareness to the staggering fact that 40% of teens who come out to their parents are thrown out of their homes. Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness and Calvary-St. George’s Parish in Chelsea created the "Thrown Out Flag" campaign in support of the church's Out Not Down non-profit outreach program that helps LGBTQ homeless youth find the resources they need, like housing, counseling, and healthcare.

The moving photographs of teens wearing the tattered pride flags made of discarded fabric were taken by a LGBTQ ally teen and have been featured in a prominent media buy across the country and a large billboard in New York's Times Square.
