Sondheim to retool Bounce

Out composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim and librettist John Weidman are making changes to the new musical Bounce, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The gay-inclusive show is bound for Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center (for an October 21-November 26 run) en route to Broadway. In a Q&A at the Ravinia Festival, Sondheim told the audience that he is writing "one and a half new songs" while Weidman is "taking two sequences and compressing them for dramatic purposes."
