 Variety reports that Strand Releasing has acquired U.S. rights to Twist, a new film that recasts Oliver Twist among Montreal rent boys. The film stars Nick Stahl (Bully, Carnivale) and Joshua Close. The film screened last year at the Toronto and Venice Film Festivals and is set for an early May release.
