<i>Connie and Carla</i> premieres on DVD (13412)

Connie and Carla, Nia Vardalos's cross-dressing comic follow-up to her sleeper hit My Big Fat Greek Wedding, makes its home video debut Tuesday from Universal Studios Home Video. Vardalos and Toni Collette star as two lounge singers who hide out from the mob by performing as drag queens; complications ensue when Vardalos falls for a straight guy played by David Duchovny. DVD extras include deleted scenes, extended musical sequences, outtakes, a making-of documentary, and commentary by Vardalos and director Michael Lembeck.
