A hair salon in central Argentina put an advertisement in a local newspaper for a stylist--but said no men need apply if they were not gay, according to a report by Agence France-Presse. "I have nothing against heterosexuals, but women feel more comfortable if the person taking care of them is gay," the salon owner in Cordoba told Universidad radio, apparently not concerned about getting into a discrimination tangle. "I have had a lot of complaints in the past," he added. "Most male hair stylists are trying to pick up the women." The controversial ad has turned out a wave of would-be stylists, including two candidates on the first morning it ran, the owner said.
