Lake Tahoe's Gay
and Lesbian Ski Week

The Blue Gay-la, South Lake Tahoe's Gay and Lesbian Ski Week, will be held January 24-28 and feature entertainment both on and off the slopes. The Queen of the Mountain drag races at Heavenly Ski Resort on January 27 will challenge both men and women to do their personal best on the slalom course while dressed in drag. Awards will be given based on style as much as performance. Discounted lift tickets will be available to participants at the following rate: race only, $41; all-mountain access lift ticket, $60. Celebrity judges will award prizes that include gift certificates to some of the south shore's finest restaurants and attractions. Participants can register for the event the morning of the race at the base of the World Cup.

Other entertainment planned for the week includes performances by Margaret Cho, DJ Masterbeat (Brett Henrichsen), and Smokey Robinson as well as comedy at Harvey's Improv.
