A behind-the-scenes video captures a Fox News producer as she attempts to rally participants at a 9/12 event being covered by the channel in Washington, D.C.
The woman caught committing the transgression is Fox News producer Heidi Noonan, according to The Huffington Post. She encouraged the crowd to cheer as correspondent Griff Jenkins reported from the scene.
Fox News acknowledged the incident.
"The employee is a young, relatively inexperienced associate producer who realizes she made a mistake and has been disciplined," said Bryan Boughton, the Washington bureau chief for the Fox News Channel, according to The Huffington Post.
Fox News had promoted the 9/12 event, part of the movement founded by Glenn Beck, who hosts his own program on the Fox News Channel. The 9/12 movement seeks to revive the spirit of nationalism that proponents say existed on the day immediately after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
