Life might soon become an even bigger circus for out actor Neil Patrick Harris. Besides his Emmy award-nominated role as womanizing Barney on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother and his status as go-to host for numerous awards shows, Harris is being wooed back to Broadway to play the title role in a revival of the musical Barnum, reports PopEater.com. The musical is based on the life of flamboyant showman P.T. Barnum, who coined the phrase "the greatest show on earth" and founded the circus that became the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Harris has solid theater cred on his resume, having played leading roles in the musicals Assassins, Cabaret, and Rent.
