Travel website Expedia announced Thursday that it has opened Out & About, a gay travel section that rates hotels on their LGBT-friendliness.
The initiative, in partnership with the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, features hotels from 15 cities worldwide, The New York Times reports.
"Some of the listings seem a bit arbitrary," Joshua David Stein writes. "In New York City, for instance, the Hilton New York makes the gay cut, but not the Bowery Hotel. In Miami, the Standard makes the list but the new W doesn't."
