In support of their new album Night Work, which features a Robert Mapplethorpe photograph of a male butt on the cover, the Scissor Sisters put a call out for fans to submit their best butt shots for a cover of their own.
But fans of the band were shocked to find graphic photos had made the cut. On Saturday morning, photos on the band's official website included a couple having sex and one of a man bent over without underwear on, spreading his butt cheeks for the camera.
"There are some really gross images on there that need to be removed," one fan wrote on the band's Facebook page.
"Something is going very wrong with this contest -- some monitoring is needed," another wrote.
