ICarly star Chord Overstreet has been cast for the upcoming season of Glee... and it looks likely he's going to be playing Kurt's boyfriend.

Creator Ryan Murphy has said that the second season of Glee would feature Kurt (played by Chris Colfer) in a relationship. He said the role would be cast after a nation-wide search.

According to Movieline, Overstreet will play Sam, an athlete who "starts off as Finn's protege but becomes his competition."

The second season of the Emmy-nominated show starts Sept. 21.
