Real World: Brooklyn alum turned fitness guru/gay rights advocate Scott Herman filmed a YouTube public service announcement supporting The Trevor Project, which works to stop suicide among gay youth through a 24-hour hotline.
Herman, who is straight, has often rallied for gay rights. This time, he makes the case to his fans that The Trevor Project is a worthwhile organization to support.
"[The Trevor Project] is an outreach program for people to call in if they're having a hard time and what they do is help these kids, they guide them, they give them the strength to want to live and tell them equality is on its way," Herman says in the video.
Herman will appear at a Trevor Project event in New York on October 21. Click here for more information on Herman.
