Prosecutors in the suicide case of Tyler Clementi have subpoenaed e-mails sent by the Rutgers University student to school officials complaining about his roommate's use of a Web cam to spy on him, The Star-Ledger reports.
A Rutgers representative said the school is cooperating with Middlesex County, N.J., prosecutors but said that such information needs to be subpoenaed under the the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Fellow Rutgers undergraduates Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei are charged with invasion of privacy for recording and broadcasting on the Web an encounter between Clementi and a male student.
